We welcome and appreciate feedback both positive and negative in order to help us to continually strive to improve our service to you as an individual.
As a small company Able Care Huddersfield Ltd feel that we are able to offer a more personal experience, with consistency in regard to carers, quality and timings of calls, meaning that the service remains as personal to you as it does to us.
Able Care was created and developed by myself Emma Howarth, Registered Manager. I have 25 years’ experience working across Kirklees Council over different sectors including Residential Care, Domiciliary Care and the last 12 years spent working in a busy hospital Social Work team. This has given me the insight, understanding and empathy for clients, and their families, trying to navigate their way around the health and social care system. On both a personal and professional level, I have experience of how confusing and frustrating this can be, particularly at times of crisis and uncertainty for what the future holds for their loved ones.
My aim is to use the experience and knowledge that I have gained to make this a smoother, less confusing process for all involved, and to use my knowledge and experience to ensure that service users and their families have the information that they need.
During my time in the Social Work team, part of my role was to conduct reviews of care packages. The main concern consistently raised by both service users and their families was that there was often an inconsistency of carers, timings of calls were sporadic and sometimes rushed. As a small company we aim to be consistent with the same carers, kept on time with visits, and we have a minimum 30 minutes call out so no one feels that they are rushed in receiving and given care.
